Building Contractors in Eldoret & Uasin Gishu County

Eldoret is a university and mission town, and our work there reflects it: student accommodation and religious institutional buildings. We have an ongoing convent extension in the county and completed student hostels in 2021.

A site-based team for the duration of the project

What building in Eldoret actually involves

Highland rainfall drives the programme

Uasin Gishu sits high and takes substantially more rain than Nairobi, spread over a longer season. Excavation, foundations and external works have to be scheduled into the drier windows, and a programme copied from a Nairobi project will slip here. We build the weather into the programme rather than claiming it later as an excuse.

Roofs and drainage carry more load

Higher rainfall means roof pitch, gutter sizing, downpipe capacity and surface drainage all need designing for local conditions rather than to a standard Nairobi detail. Under-sized rainwater goods are the most common defect we see on buildings put up here by contractors working to habits from elsewhere.

Institutional clients, institutional processes

Much of the work in Eldoret is for schools, colleges and religious institutions, which means committee approvals, phased funding and term-time constraints. We are set up for that — measured valuations a board can audit, and a programme built around the academic calendar.
